Hayley has been singing her whole life and grew up listening to all genres of music from the 1950s to now. She took guitar lessons at age 9 and fell in love with singing and playing.
At the young age of 12, Hayley started Vocal Lessons, she entered Eisteddfods, Competitions, and other performances which is where her interest for performing comes from. After she matriculated, Hayley completed a 2 Year fulltime Course in Contemporary Music at Allenby Campus, specialising in Vocals, there she studied all the genres of music she loved to sing, as well as performed live with numerous bands of College musicians. The performances covered, Pop, Country, Musicals and Jazz. She obtained her Diploma in Contemporary Musicianship and Management, as well as her Advanced Diploma in Contemporary Musicianship.
Hayley also completed the Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced courses of the Eve Boswell Production Method, and finally qualified with Honours as a Teacher of Vocals using this method. The course included Vocal Technique, Vocal Styles, Harmony, Physics, Improvisation, and Repertoire Performance Briefing. One of the highlights of the course was using The Belting Technique, and caring for your voice. Hayley started teaching Vocals in 2003, at schools and privately. She also performed weekly at Restaurants, Weddings, and Corporate Functions.
Hayley’s aim is to make lessons fun for students and engage them with genres they love to sing, while ensuring that they practice Vocal health. Hayley wants her students to enjoy their singing as much as she does and maybe even progress through the grades!
