Jason Gumbley
Jason is a working musician, owner of Gumbley’s Music School and passionate teacher! He works up and down the country playing with a variety of bands doing covers, tributes and originals.
Listening to a variety of music throughout his years learning the drums means that he is influenced by a wide range of styles. Jason achieved a distinction (98%) in his grade 8 RockSchool exam and studied music performance at Stratford-Upon-Avon College. He has a passion for music, and teaching allows him to pass on his knowledge and help create new musicians. Jason also values building relationships with students, and being a role model for younger students.
His approach to teaching is a relaxed one. As well as making progress Jason wants the student and whoever they bring along to feel comfortable and part of the process. Learning an instrument is supposed to be fun! However, progress on an instrument, just like anything, comes from time and practice. So the more committed you are, the more you’ll enjoy it. Jason’s current and past work includes: ABBA tributes, Fleetwood Mac tributes, Heavy Metal bands, hard rock bands, reggae bands, studio recordings, live theatre shows, festivals, private functions and weddings.
